REXX (Regina 3.3) for OpenVMS VAX 7.3 -- source kit, 12-OCT-2026
================================================================

Douglas P. Fields, Jr. (symbolics@lisp.engineer)

The complete corresponding source of the kit REXX_VAX_20261012B.BCK, as
the GNU Library General Public License, version 2, asks for it: the original
Regina 3.3 archive, the same tree with our changes applied (every changed
file carries a dated notice), every change as a unified diff, the build and
kit procedures and the recipe to rebuild the kit.

1. CONTENTS

COPYING_LIB.TXT The licence (LGPL version 2), as in the Regina
                          archive (COPYING-LIB).
SOURCES.TXT What was changed, file by file, and the written
offer. The same file is installed with the kit.
REBUILD.md The recipe, step by step, with commands, expected
                          results, hashes and measured times.
  original/regina-rexx-3_3.tar.gz
Regina 3.3 exactly as on the DECUS tape (VMS LT04A,
VU), 300 files. The tar inside is the one in our
                          archive regina-rexx-3_3_tar.zst; see
sources/ARCHIVES.SHA256 for hashes (the .gz here
is a recompression of the same tar).
  regina-3.3-patched/ The tree "original/ + patches/" applied, so that
nobody has to run patch: the corresponding source
of REXX.EXE as built, all 300 files. (The [SRC]
directory of the saveset holds the files the VMS
build needs, with our changes, and the build
                          procedures.)
sources/README.md Provenance, licence obligations and how each is
met, every change in a table.
  sources/ARCHIVES.SHA256, sources/FILES.SHA256
SHA-256 of the archive and of its 300 files. (The
paths in ARCHIVES.SHA256 are those of my machine.)
sources/patches/ The changes: 01-08 as unified diffs relative to
the Regina-3.3 directory (apply with patch -p1),
                          and 03-new-vmscmd.c, the replacement file.
  build/ BUILD_REXX.COM and REXX_BUILD.LIS (replace the
                          shipped BUILD.COM and DESCRIP.MMS), COMPLINK.COM,
                          COMPONE.COM, UNBUNDLE.C (the VAX-side unpacker),
                          RUN_REBUILD.COM, RUN_ALL.COM, RUN_LIFECYCLE.COM
                          (the recipe as batch jobs).
  tools/ Host-side: rexxbundle.py (packs a tree of text
files into one bundle for UNBUNDLE.C),
                          make_patches.sh, make_bundles.sh. CC0.
kit/ MAKE_KIT.COM (builds the saveset), the installer,
                          uninstaller and setup procedure, LIFECYCLE_TEST.COM,
the installed README.TXT and SOURCES.TXT, the
BACKUP/LIST of the saveset and its install
                          manifest.
SHA256SUMS.TXT SHA-256 of every file in this kit.

2. LICENCE AND THE OFFER

Regina is under the GNU Library General Public License, version 2 ("or any
later version"). sources/README.md has a table of the obligations and how
this kit meets each. In short: the notices and the licence are kept; the
  changed files are marked with their date; the changes are under the LGPL;
this kit and the saveset carry the complete corresponding source and the
procedure to rebuild; and the written offer in SOURCES.TXT stands.
Everything that is mine and not Regina (installer, uninstaller, setup,
examples, build procedures) is not part of the library; the three host
  tools are CC0.
